CARROTS WITHOUT LEAVES

When it's summer time we welcome organic vegetables from across the globe. This one's coming from Lebanon and we hope you enjoy it. Lebanon's Bekaa Valley produces some of the sweetest carrots in the world the altitude, mineral soil, and warm days with cool nights concentrate the natural sugars in ways that regular hot-climate carrots cannot match. When UAE-grown carrots go out of peak season, Lebanon is where we turn. Leaves removed before packing — carrot leaves draw moisture from the root after harvest and accelerate wilting. Removing them keeps your carrots firmer and sweeter from delivery to plate.

Product description

When it's summer time we welcome organic vegetables from across the globe. This one's coming from Lebanon and we hope you enjoy it. Lebanon's Bekaa Valley , high altitude, mineral-rich soil, warm days and cool nights produces carrots that are noticeably sweeter and more vibrantly orange than those grown in hot lowland conditions. When UAE-grown carrots go off peak season, Lebanon is where we source.

PLEASE NOTE: WE SUPPLY CARROTS WITHOUT LEAVES, AS THE LEAVES TEND TO WILT DURING TRANSIT.

Carrot leaves draw moisture from the root after harvest. Removing them keeps your carrots firmer, sweeter, and fresher from delivery to plate.

WHY CARROTS ARE WORTH EATING EVERY WEEK

  • Beta-carotene: the deep orange color is converted by your body into Vitamin A for immune function, eye health, and skin. Cooking with A2 ghee or cold-pressed oil significantly increases absorption.
  • Fibre: supports digestive regularity and gut health.
  • Vitamin K: important for bone density and blood clotting.
  • Naturally sweet: eat raw, juice, or roast until caramelised.

HOW TO USE THEM

  1. Raw: slice into sticks for snacking or crudités with hummus.
  2. Roasted: cut into batons, toss in A2 ghee with cumin and coriander seeds. Roast at 200°C for 25 minutes until caramelized.
  3. Sabzi: cook in an onion-tomato base with turmeric and coriander. Juiced: with apple, ginger, and lemon.
  4. Soup: simmer with garlic, onion, and ginger. Blend smooth. Finish with coconut milk and lime.
  5. Baby food: steam and blend for a naturally sweet puree

STORAGE Refrigerate unwashed in a damp paper towel in a sealed container. Keeps 10–14 days. Use within 3–4 days once cut
