Product description
Organic Fresh Chicken Liver is a versatile poultry cut with a rich, savoury flavour and tender texture when properly cooked. It works beautifully in traditional curries, gravies, stir-fries, pâtés and other comforting family meals.
How to Cook Chicken Liver
- Clean: Rinse the chicken liver gently and pat dry. Trim away any excess fat or connective tissue.
- Season: Season with salt, black pepper, garlic, and your preferred herbs or spices.
- Heat the pan: Add a little oil or ghee to a pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook: Add the liver in a single layer and cook until browned on the outside and fully cooked through, turning occasionally.
- Check doneness: Chicken liver should reach an internal temperature of 74°C (165°F) for food safety.
- Serve: Enjoy hot with sautéed onions, herbs, rice, roti, toast, or as part of a curry or gravy.
Tip: Avoid overcrowding the pan, as this can cause the liver to steam rather than brown.
