Cooking Instructions

Shabu Shabu / Hot Pot
  1. Prepare your favourite Shabu Shabu or hot-pot broth and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  2. Keep the thinly sliced beef refrigerated until ready to cook.
  3. Using chopsticks or tongs, place one slice at a time into the simmering broth.
  4. Gently swish the beef through the broth for 10–30 seconds, or until fully cooked. Cooking time depends on slice thickness.
  5. Remove immediately to help retain its tender texture.
  6. Enjoy with dipping sauces, vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, noodles, or rice.
Cooking Tip: Avoid overcrowding the pot, as adding too much beef at once can lower the broth temperature. Cook the beef thoroughly before eating. Food Safety: Keep raw beef separate from ready-to-eat ingredients and use clean utensils for cooked food.

Storage Instructions

  • Refrigerate: Keep refrigerated at 0–4°C and follow the use-by date on the packaging.
  • Keep Sealed: Store in the original packaging until ready to use. Once opened, place unused slices in an airtight container or wrap securely.
  • Freeze for Longer Storage: Store at -18°C or below in freezer-safe packaging to maintain quality.
  • Thaw Safely: Thaw frozen beef slices in the refrigerator, preferably overnight. Do not thaw at room temperature.
  • Use After Thawing: Cook promptly after thawing and avoid refreezing raw beef once completely thawed.
  • After Cooking: Refrigerate cooked beef within 2 hours in a covered container and consume within 3–4 days.
  • Food Safety: Keep raw beef separate from ready-to-eat foods and wash hands, utensils, and surfaces thoroughly after handling.
